Frequently Asked Questions
Is Physical Therapy right for me?
If you are experiencing pain or injury that prevents you from performing daily activities, Physical Therapy can be a powerful avenue in getting you back to the things you love.
Physical Therapy is an active approach to manage injury or pain through an evaluation, assessment, and treatment plan by a licensed physical therapist.
Physical Therapists are movement experts who optimize quality of life and function through a variety of treatment methods, which often include an individualized exercise plans and education.
How do I get started?
Fill out the contact form and get connected with our licensed physical therapist on a remote telehealth call.
Do I need a doctor's referral or prescription?
No doctor's prescription necessary. You do not need a doctor’s prescription to see a physical therapist.
California state law allows patients to have direct access to physical therapists. What this means is that you can receive physical therapy services for up to 12 visits or 45 days (whichever is reached first) without a physician’s referral/prescription. If your plan of care is expected to exceed 45 days, I can help coordinate the steps needed to acquire a referral from your primary physician.
Why is direct access important?
SAVES TIME. No need to wait for your primary care doctor to write you a referral to Physical Therapy. Save time and refer yourself if you think you have a condition that may benefit from Physical Therapy.
SAVES MONEY. Direct access saves you out-of-pocket costs by skipping your primary care or specialist visit to get a referral.
ACCELERATES RECOVERY. Patients who utilize direct access experience a faster recovery by getting straight to the injury experts. Get started with your treatment plan by scheduling with our licensed and specialized Physical Therapist today!
